Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By installing or using the Jane browser extension ("Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Jane is a Chrome browser extension that reads web page content and provides AI-powered actions (summarize, critique, quiz, save, share, act, free ask) through a sidebar interface.
3. Accounts
You need a Google account to use Jane. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. One account per person.
4. Credits and Billing
- Free tier: 50 one-time credits upon registration.
- Pro subscription: $5/month or $48/year. Includes 500 credits per billing cycle. Credits reset each cycle and do not roll over.
- Credit packs: One-time purchases. Pack credits never expire.
- Credit deduction order: Subscription credits first, then pack credits, then free credits.
- Refunds: Subscriptions can be canceled anytime; no refund for partial periods. Credit packs are non-refundable.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Jane to process illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the extension.
- Automate or script extension actions beyond normal usage.
- Share or resell your account or credits.
6. Intellectual Property
Content you save to your knowledge base remains yours. Jane's software, branding, and design are owned by us. AI-generated outputs are provided as-is and should not be treated as professional advice.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. AI outputs may contain errors. We are not liable for decisions made based on Jane's outputs.
8. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. You can delete your account at any time.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
